NASS 2024-2025 EIS-GCC Representatives and Volunteers Announced

Washington, D.C. — Today, the National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) announc­es the association’s 2024-2025 representatives to the Election Infrastructure Subsector Govern­ment Coordinating Council (EIS-GCC).

“I want to thank my colleagues for joining me on this critical Council to further inspire confidence in our nation’s collective election security efforts. I appreciate their willingness to collaborate and share experiences with officials at all levels of government. Relationships like this are abso­lutely key as we continue to prepare for November and beyond,” said NASS President and Min­nesota Secretary of State Steve Simon.

New NASS EIS-GCC Representatives and Alternates:

NASS President: Hon. Steve Simon, Minnesota (who also serves on Executive Committee of EIS-GCC)

NASS President-elect: Hon. Michael Watson, Mississippi

NASS Treasurer: Hon. Steve Hobbs, Washington

NASS Immediate Past President: Hon. Scott Schwab, Kansas

NASS Elections Co-Chair: Hon. Michael Adams, Kentucky

NASS Elections Co-Chair: Hon. Gregg Amore, Rhode Island

Volunteers: Hon. Paul Pate, Iowa, and Hon. Sarah Copeland Hanzas, Vermont

Alternate Volunteers: Hon. Stephanie Thomas, Connecticut, Hon. Diego Morales, Indiana, Hon. Shenna Bellows, Maine, and Hon. Tre Hargett, Tennessee

The NASS representatives will serve for a one-year term. The 29 EIS-GCC members, of which 24 are state and local election officials, actively work together to foster efficient communication and continued collaboration within the election infrastructure community.

Other Council members include individuals from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, Election Center, International Association of Government Officials, National Associa­tion of State Election Directors, and U.S. Election Assistance Commission.
