NASS Announces 2024-2025 Committee Co-Chairs

Washington, D.C. – Today, the National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) announces the association’s committee Co-Chair appointments. Co-Chairs serve until the conclusion of the NASS 2025 Summer Conference.

“NASS and our members are a team. Choosing individual teammates to serve in these critical roles allows us to further strengthen our mutual understanding and knowledge on key issue areas relevant to the offices of Secretaries of State,” said Steve Simon, NASS President and Minnesota Secretary of State. “I look forward to working closely with each Co-Chair during my tenure as President.”

Business Services: Hon. Adrian Fontes, Arizona and Hon. Paul Pate, Iowa

Cybersecurity:  Hon. Scott Schwab, Kansas and Hon. Steve Simon, Minnesota

Elections: Hon. Michael Adams, Kentucky and Hon. Gregg Amore, Rhode Island

International Relations: Hon. Al Schmidt, Pennsylvania and Hon. Tahesha Way, New Jersey

Nominations & Credentials: Hon. Michael Watson, Mississippi, Chair

Securities: Hon. Alexi Giannoulias, Illinois and Hon. David Scanlan, New Hampshire

State Records and Archives: Hon. Kimberly Bassett, District of Columbia and Hon. Monae Johnson, South Dakota

Council of State Governments Representatives: Hon. Paul Pate, Iowa and Hon. Steve Simon (serving until Dec. 2024)

U.S. Election Assistance Commission Board of Advisors: Hon. Scott Schwab, Kansas and Hon. Steve Simon, Minnesota
