NASS Statement in Support of Israel During Terrorist Attacks

Washington, D.C. – The National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) led by its President Scott Schwab, Kansas Secretary of State, and President-elect Steve Simon, Minnesota Secretary of State, would like to address the unprecedented attacks on the nation of Israel:

“The ongoing attacks against Israel by Hamas are unacceptable and we condemn these unnecessary, horrific acts of violence in the strongest possible terms.

“NASS and its members have long supported Israel through state partnerships and trade relation­ships, as well as international delegations and thoughtful discussions on combatting antisemitism.

“Secretaries of State from across the country will continue to stand proudly in support of our re­spected ally Israel and its citizens.

“Our hearts break for those who have lost their lives or have been harmed by these unspeakable actions. We hope for a swift resolution to this gruesome conflict.”
