September is National Voter Registration Month

Washington, D.C. – The National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) wants to remind citizens that September is National Voter Registration Month. Every September since 2002, NASS recognizes this month to encourage voter registration and to recommend existing voters check and update their registration status, if needed.

“I want to extend a friendly reminder to eligible citizens across the country to register to vote if they haven’t already done so,” said NASS President and Kansas Secretary of State Scott Schwab. “It’s also a great time to check your voter registration to ensure all of your information is up to date. Prepare now so you’re ready come Election Day.”

NASS also continues to celebrate and support National Voter Registration Day, as an election official partner. This important day of action will be on Tuesday, September 19, 2023.
