Secretaries of State To Discuss Next Generation of Voting, Induct New National Officers at NASS 2011 Summer Conference in Daniels, West Virginia
DANIELS, WV – As election officials around the nation gear up for the 2012 presidential election cycle and look ahead to 2016, the members of the National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) will discuss the life cycles of voting systems and the future of voting technologies on July 13 at their annual summer conference at The Resort at Glade Springs in Daniels, West Virginia.
Dr. Merle King, executive director of the Center for Election Systems at Kennesaw State University, will moderate a series of roundtable discussions on this topic, which will also include federal officials, local election administrators, private sector representatives, voter advocacy organizations and leading academics.
The association will also induct its new set of national officers for the 2011-2012 cycle at a special leadership luncheon ceremony. Alabama Secretary of State Beth Chapman will be sworn in as NASS 2011-2012 President, along with the new Executive Board.
